Important Questions and Things to Consider when Hiring a Wedding Planner

Do you take on more than one wedding a day?

Do you take on more than one wedding a day?

No, once you secure your date, your wedding is the only event I take on that day. You have booked and deserve someone who can give you their undivided attention to make sure your day runs smoothly.

Of course! If you’re planning to have your wedding in our area and are looking for a Kamloops or Thompson Okanagan wedding planner, then we can still work together. The majority of the wedding planning process will look the same, no matter where you’re located.

Are you currently booking new couples?

Are you currently booking new couples?

Yes, Elm & Peony Events is currently booking new couples for the 2025 wedding season and dates are limited and do fill up quickly. It’s best to reach out sooner rather than later for wedding or event planning services!

When is the best time to invest in a wedding planner?

When is the best time to invest in a wedding planner?

Ideally, a wedding planner is one of the first investments you should make in your planning journey. So, the sooner you can choose and invest in a planner, the sooner you can unload a lot of the tasks onto an expert’s shoulders. If you’re recently engaged (first, congratulations!) aim to invest in a wedding planner 9-12 months before the wedding date.

This all sounds great but is quite an investment. How do we fit a wedding planner into our budget?

Ultimately, this depends on your overall wedding planning budget. It also depends on your priorities as a couple. If you and your partner want to have a more relaxed and enjoyable engagement season (instead of devoting it toward vendor meetings and countless planning decisions), then a Kamloops wedding planner may be an important investment. I’m happy to talk more with you to see if it’s a good fit!

What form of payment do you accept, and do you have payment plans available?

What form of payment do you accept, and do you have payment plans available?

A wedding is a large investment and because of this, I do have a payment plan available! Typically, this works as a 40% non-refundable deposit at the time of signing your contract in order to secure your date. Then, the remaining balance can be paid on a schedule that best suits you. I also accept e-Transfers, credit cards, or cash payments - whichever method works best for you!
